- In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the dry ingredients: protein powder, cocoa powder, almond flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add almond milk and maple syrup. Stir until smooth.
- If using nut butter, drop it into the center of the batter — don’t mix.
- Microwave on high for 60–75 seconds. The top should look set but still soft.
- Let it cool for 1–2 minutes. Dig in with a spoon or top with Greek yogurt, berries, or a few dark chocolate chips.
Notes
Optional toppings: Greek yogurt, berries, or dark chocolate chips. For a richer flavor, add a splash of vanilla extract. If using unflavored protein powder, increase cocoa by 1 tsp and sweetener slightly. For gooey texture, reduce cook time by 10 seconds.
